The actions aimed at protecting the environment, health, and safety at work at UHE Peixe Angical, developed by Enerpeixe led the company to win the certifications:

  • ABNT NBR ISO 9001 - Quality Management System
  • ABNT NBR ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System
  • ABNT NBR ISO 45001 - Occupational Health and Safety Management System
  • Gold Seal in Sustainable Energy - Instituto Acende Brasil/PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)
  • Eloy Chaves Medal for excellence in Workplace Safety

The ISO 9001 certification has as scope that all Enerpeixe's processes are standardized within the total quality requirements. The other certifications (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001) served as a base structure for this one: ISO 9001.

The ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications that aim to create and integrate procedures in Enerpeixe and in the companies of the shareholder group. These standards guide the handling of certain residues so as not to contaminate the environment and the use of equipment and care aimed at preserving occupational health and safety.

With the implementation of international standards: NBR ISO 9001, NBR ISO 14001 and NBR ISO 45001 Enerpeixe aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • To promote the continuous improvement of its integrated management system and the effectiveness of the quality of its services;
  • To meet the economic and financial needs of its shareholders, clients, employees and other interested parties;
  • To meet the legal requirements of health and safety at work, environment and other requirements related to its activities;

  • Prevent and mitigate risks to the business, environment, and occupational health and safety;
  • Promote the use of technologies that contribute to the preservation of the environment, pollution prevention, energy efficiency, and the rational use of natural resources;
  •  Promote formal processes of communication, consultation, and involvement of stakeholders in the context of interactions with quality management, environment, and occupational health and safety.
