With the creation of the reservoir it becomes necessary to control water quality, which is done through systematic chemical and biological collection and analysis. These actions have been carried out by the company Systema Naturae of Environmental Consulting for 3 years.

Another important point in the actions of ENERPEIXE is the aquatic community, which has been implemented in partnership with the Federal University of Tocantins - UFT, through the study of fish communities and spawning areas and natural breeding grounds. Due to the river bus, the fish are prevented from carrying out the "piracema". For that, a fish ladder was built, which will allow access to the breeding areas, which are located at the headwaters of the river.
