Competition Policy
• This policy formalizes EDP's commitment in Brazil regarding the non-adoption of anti-competitive practices in the execution of its activities. Therefore, its employees are advised not to participate in discussions with competitors regarding price or conditions of sale of a product, distribution of customers, proposed boycott of a potential customer or supplier, or any other activity that may restrict free competition.
Importance of Competition
Market competition encourages competition between companies so that they are encouraged to improve their processes and production means, aiming at lower costs and an improvement in the quality of their goods and services. As a result, companies attract more customers, increasing their profit, and consumers benefit from a greater variety of innovative and cheaper goods and services.
