Generation of energy through the hydraulic potential of the Tocantins River
Enerpeixe SA is a concessionaire of public electric energy services, in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree of October 15, 2001 and Concession Agreement No. 130/2001 - ANEEL - UHE Peixe Angical, signed with the Federal Government (Granting Authority) , aiming to exploit the hydraulic potential in the Tocantins River, with an installed capacity of 498.75 MW, characterized as of interest and public utility of national relevance. For the Peixe Angical Hydroelectric Power Plant, an engineering and environmental feasibility study was carried out that determined the exact location of the dam axis and sized the lake area, maximizing the generation of electric energy and minimizing the socio-environmental impacts. Civil works provided more than 5,000 direct jobs and 6,000 indirect jobs.
